Flat Tank Covers - Extruded

PART 1  GENERAL

1.1  SCOPE

1. Provide Aluminum Flat Cover – Extruded and all accessories as specified herein and on the contract drawings.

1.2  RELATED SECTIONS

1. Responsible for all related Sections found in Divisions 1 - 16.

1.3  SUBMITTALS

1. A submittal shall be provided to the engineer and approved prior to fabrication.  Submittal for approval includes:
    
1. Submittal drawings to show size, location, and spacing of all parts; each connection type and fastener.
2. Material List.
3. Installation Instructions.
4. Operation & Maintenance Manual.
5. Structural Calculations.


2. All Structural Calculations shall be sealed by a Professional Engineer.

1.4  QUALITY ASSURANCE

1. The manufacturer shall have five years experience on similar projects.
    
2. Manufacturer and Contractor to coordinate installation to provide a successful install.
    
3. Contractor required to use skilled workmen familiar with this type of erection.

1.5  WARRANTY

1. The cover system shall be guaranteed for a period of one year against defective material and fabrication.
